Join the Hunter Force

Explorer Scouts are welcome to participate in the Challenge as hunters.

Your task will be to disrupt the progress of the Scouts during the event, by seeking out teams and catching them, before taking points and lives away from that team.

However, it should go without saying that these are younger members of the Association, and therefore the safety of everyone (i.e. yourselves as hunters, the Scouts participating, and other users of the forest) is paramount.

All Explorers will receive information on the rules, their role as a hunter, prior to the event, and must abide by the Hunters Code of Conduct before participating.

Hunters will also carry a hi-vis jacket each, and will receive information on the various safety plans in place. Under certain circumstances, at any point during the Event, you may be contacted through personal mobile radios or mobile phone, and be asked to act as a Safety Marshall. You may not catch teams whilst acting as a Safety Marshall, and your main priority becomes the safety and welfare of participants.

Young Leaders from Scout Groups who have entered are also eligible to take part as a Hunter - just think of the opportunity for taking out revenge on your Scouts by nabbing their points and lives!
